Air Bender is a Lagoon 420 Catamaran – three cabin owner’s version. She is modern, easy to maneuver, cleverly designed, safe, fast and spacious. Absolute luxury afloat! Lagoon’s innovative sail-handling system means that this big cat can be very simply handled from the starboard helm or even inside from the navigation station with the Raymarine autopilot or with the handheld wireless remote.
On deck:
The deck is uncluttered so moving around is easy: wide sidedecks, flush deck hatches, plenty of lockers. The aft passerelle allows passage from one transom to the other without traveling through the cockpit.
The spacious cockpit with large benchseats and a table is protected from the sun and weather by a rigid bimini top. Optional side and back panels are in the works. The twin seat helm station was designed for sailing with a reduced crew. All the control lines can be handled by one person from the helm station, freeing the other living spaces for guests. The foredeck is exclusively dedicated to relaxation.
Accommodation:
Priority has been accorded to comfort in the design of the Lagoon 420 interior. The light oak Alpi woodwork and the laminated floor give a modern and relaxing feel. The cockpit and saloon are on the same level and are accessed through a sliding glass door. The longitudinal galley opens directly on the cockpit. It is a very practical area, and is fully equipped with plentiful lockers, an upright refrigerator, upright freezer, gimballed stove/oven and microwave. The galley sink is plumbed for fresh water, and includes a filtration system.
The port hull is occupied by a master cabin with island double berth, large ensuite bathroom with separate shower in the bow and central office/dressing room. The master area can be completely closed off to the rest of the accommodation.
The starboard hull houses two private cabins, each with an island double berth and private ensuite bathroom with separate shower. We have converted the aft cabin’s head to be a ½ bath, with the Haier 1.5-cu ft top-load washer occupying the shower stall.
The expansive saloon features an aft-facing galley, chart-table/navigation and entertainment area and an L-shaped settee with large dining table.
The cockpit is an outdoor living room. L-shaped seating area with large, varnished dining table that comfortably seats six. This area is sheltered by a hardtop with teak decking.
CruisAir reverse-cycle air conditioning/heating in four living zones.
Galley up, in the main saloon. Three burner stove with oven, Gas BBQ located on aft deck
Double sinks, Pressure hot and cold water, Isotherm fridge/freezer in galley, bar fridge in cockpit
Ensuite bathrooms for each of three double cabins. 12V flushing toilets with holding tanks.
