3…2…1…

It’s about 11pm on Saturday night, and we are planning to pull away from Oahu tomorrow morning!  It still doesn’t feel real, and I’m not sure it will until we’ve been out for a few days.  So many mixed feelings right now.  We are excited to get underway and start this grand adventure.  Yet, we are sad to leave our friends and this beautiful paradise we have called home for many years.  We still have a few last minute things to do in the morning – finish stowing for sea, a quick load of laundry, top off the water tanks, make a few phone calls, return the rental car – and maybe one last run to Starbucks! We will likely head to Kauai for a day or two before heading north for Alaska, but we’ll reevaluate once we look at the weather tomorrow and check-in with our weather router.  Once we head north, we anticipate it will take us two to three weeks to reach Kodiak, Alaska, which is our first planned stop.  We’ll keep you posted along the way.  Until next time…live the adventure!
